A hike to the Black Lake<\/strong> in the Granitz<\/strong> is not just a journey through nature but also an adventure into the world of legends. The trail begins in Sellin<\/strong>, just before the pier<\/strong>, and follows the Hochuferweg<\/strong> toward Binz<\/strong>, winding through a forest that adds to the mysterious atmosphere of the tale.<\/p>

According to legend, a prince<\/strong> once returned from a hunt only to find that his castle had vanished, replaced by a dark lake. A chair with his noble gloves<\/strong> floated on the water, but as he reached for the gloves, the chair sank, and the prince was punished \u2013 transformed into an old, gnarled oak<\/strong>, which still stands on the shore today.<\/p>

If you listen closely<\/strong>, some say you can hear joyful voices<\/strong> rising from the depths of the lake. And legend has it that if the castle\u2019s towers<\/strong> ever reappear above the water, a brave visitor<\/strong> could break the curse and set it free.
